Diagnostic Injection – Confusion and Update

Got the injection a week back. There were some confusion as to what kind of injection it was. It turns out that it was not a diagnostic injection after all. It is just a cocktail of analgesic, some short acting and long acting steroid. The doctor thought that it will help with the soreness and scar tissue. The injection was administered right at the ankle. Had to take it easy for 48 hours after the injection. Then now I am back to normal. The soreness has reduced. But I do see some unstability(Don’t know how to describe) when I am walking at a faster pace. Need to closely monitor and understand what the issue is. So that is where I stand.

Changed the template?? Like this one, the older one was a little confusing.
Hope you have gotten past the instability factor. Now that I am helping my father with physiotherapy, I can understand how painful it must have been.
You held up pretty well and got past that stage :) :) Wish and pray you get past this last hiccup quickly.

Came across your blog while looking for info after breaking both my ankles 3 and 1/2 months ago. Tib & fib in both ankles, but luckily no surgery. Wore one cast for 6 weeks, the other for 11. It’s been a month now without either cast, but they still swell so bad. I have some pain, especially if they get cold. I just assumed once the casts were off everything would be great, haha was I wrong. I wish you luck in your continued recovery.

Angel, Thanks and good luck to you too! Keep your leg elevated as much as possible and be very regular with physiotherapy. At least that is what helped me get rid of the swelling!
